1925 Papeteries de Gascogne is founded in Mimizan by a group of forest owners in the Landes region
1927 Natural kraft paper (4,500 tonnes) is first produced on two paper machines
1941 Papeteries de Gascogne floats on the Bordeaux stock exchange.
1949 A third paper machine is commissioned
1952 A first sack business is set up in Mimizan (subsequently called Gascogne Emballage)
1958 A fourth paper machine is commissioned
1959 The forestry co-operation office is set up
1963 A first sawmill is acquired (subsequently known as Escobois)
1965 A combined fuel oil/bark-fired boiler is installed
1966 A recovery boiler is installed
1968 A first flexible packaging manufacturer is acquired (subsequently known as Sopal)
1974 A fifth paper machine is commissioned
1976 Papeteries de Gascogne is reorganised into three divisions: Wood, Paper and Sacks. A wood sourcing company is set up, called Forestière de Gascogne
1977 A sixth paper machine is commissioned
1977-1981 The first two paper machines are decommissioned
1978 A distribution company is acquired (subsequently known as Cenpac)
1986 Groupe Gascogne and Holding Gascogne S.A. are created Papeteries de Gascogne is turned into a separate subsidiary and becomes the Paper division of Groupe Gascogne
1989 A manufacturer of ribbed felts is acquired (Depland)
1991 A new recovery boiler is commissioned
1993 Papeteries de Gascogne obtains ISO 9002 certification
1996 Papeteries de Gascogne obtains ISO 9001 certification
2001 Papeteries de Gascogne obtains ISO 9001 version 2000 certification
2004 Papeteries de Gascogne obtains PEFC (sustainable forest management) certification for its pulp and kraft paper mill.
2006 Groupe Gascogne changes its name to Gascogne, and adopts a new identity based around its business divisions: wood, paper, sacks, laminates and distribution.
Papeteries de Gascogne becomes Gascogne Paper
2009 Gascogne Paper has completed a strategic investment at its integrated pulp and paper mill: The installation of a brand new high technology off-line coating unit, designed to produce specialty coated papers with multiple technical options.

Gascogne Paper has four paper machines and one off-line coater. The pulp and paper mill produces more than 150,000 tonnes per year, including over 100,000 tonnes of 100% PEFC-certified natural kraft paper and 15,000 tonnes of new coated grades.
Since 1925, Gascogne Paper has developed natural and innovative specialty papers, meeting the most demanding packaging and industrial applications worldwide.
