Plain papers

These technical papers have a smooth, plain appearance, and are used in highly demanding industrial processes, particularly for interleaving applications. They are also used by processing companies, which coat and laminate kraft paper.

 SOLIO

   SOLIO 1

This machine-glazed plain paper (35-65g/mē) is used as interleaving for sheet metal and glass. It is chemically neutral (DIN 53110 standard) and features controlled cleanliness.
   SOLIO 2

This machine-glazed plain paper (35g/mē) features controlled cleanliness, a neutral pH and no linting, and is specially designed for use as interleaving for stainless steel sheets and for wet skin pass finishing.
   SOLIO 3

This machine-glazed plain paper is available in grammages of 32-50g/mē and is chemically pure. Its neutral pH and its lint-free surface make it especially suitable for stainless steel interleaving and skin-pass finishing applications.
   SOLIO 4

This machine-glazed plain paper (36-40g/mē) has a low moisture content and increased surface consistency. It is used as interleaving or for the finishing of stainless steel sheets.
   SOLIO 6

Machine-glazed plain paper, specifically developed for glass interleaving purposes. Its controlled pH and its chemical purity ensure that it is totally inert and neutral when coming into contact with all types of glass.

 SILVANA

   SILVANA 1

This machine-glazed plain paper has a grammage of 40g/mē, is lint-free and has limited permeability, and is used in paint masking.
   SILVANA 2

Limited porosity and reinforced sizing make Silvana 2 (40-55g/mē) especially suited to cardboard or aluminium laminating and emulsion-based siliconisation.
   SILVANA 3

Silvana 3 (34-40 g/mē) is intended for aluminium laminating and coating applications, due to its strong internal bond strength, limited porosity and cleanliness.
   SILVANA 5

This machine-glazed, calendered plain paper is available in grammages of between 34 and 50 g/mē. Its reinforced sizing, high internal bond strength and surface cleanliness make it perfect for aluminium laminating and coating applications.
   SILVANA 6

This is a machine-glazed, calendered plain paper with low porosity. It is particularly suited to laminating and coating applications in which quality is paramount. The smoothness of its surface ensures that the resulting laminate is very flat. Its barrier properties, the consistency of its surface and its very low porosity ensure that it performs very well with sizes and coatings.

 TERRANA

   TERRANA

This unbleached, machine-glazed plain paper is available in grammages of 28-120 g/mē, and has high mechanical strength. Its limited porosity, its controlled cleanliness and surface properties make it especially well suited to coating applications (gumming, PE extrusion, waxing, bitumising, emulsion-based siliconisation) and laminating, particularly with aluminium. It is suitable for contact with foods, and is also used to make printed wrapping and small- and medium-capacity bags.
   TERRANA 4

This machine-glazed plain paper (40 g/mē) has controlled cleanliness and limited porosity. It is particularly recommended for duplexing and gumming.
   TERRANA 5

This machine-glazed plain paper is available in low grammages (53-60 g/mē), and is intended particularly for gumming applications, due to its high bulk and its controlled porosity.
   TERRANA HWS

65 g/mē. This is a calendered plain paper that has very high mechanical strength and is very strong when wet. It is used particularly as backing for aluminium sheets. Its excellent surface properties allows the aluminium to remain smooth, shiny and flat, which is crucial in order to obtain very high print quality. It is used in laminates and speciality food containers.
