Company

Since 1925, Gascogne Paper has developed natural and innovative specialty papers, meeting the most demanding packaging and industrial applications worldwide.

Gascogne Paper is the world's leading producer of natural machine-glazed kraft paper, a major European producer of Natural Sack kraft paper, and a new player in the specialty coated papers market.

Gascogne Paper (formerly 'Papeteries de Gascogne') was founded in 1925 by forest owners to promote the development of the Landes de Gascogne forest. The company's integrated paper mill is located in Mimizan, in the Landes region (French south-west area), and produces pulp and unbleached kraft papers on four paper machines.
In 2009, Gascogne Paper has decided to widen its range of papers and completed a strategic investment: the installation of a brand new high technology off-line coating unit, designed to produce specialty coated papers with multiple technical options.

Kraft paper is made from a renewable and actively renewed resource, and is a 100% natural organic material.

It is unbleached, biodegradable and recyclable, and offers a genuine environmentally friendly alternative.

Gascogne Paper's regional roots and its strong contribution to the development of the local economy have enabled it to create substantial wealth and employment. In 1986, the PAPER business diversified to create a broad, integrated group with Wood, Paper, Packaging and Distribution divisions, called GASCOGNE
